Lavender_C package consists of Lavender_C.htm and associated .ocx, .bmp, and .wav files. It uses Active X (.ocx) components formerly included in LavenderEx.exe and overrides LavenderEx.exe.
Lavender_C is an .htm program (hence customizable) using Silver.ocx and other proprietary
Active X components. Thus it requires IE4 or later on Windows 95/98/NT/XP.
It supports off-line archive and uses the default key (you don't
need to set). Key selection is also supported.
It first shows the directory tree of C: drive and several buttons to select
functions including [enc] 
, [dec]
, [run]
, [view]
, and so on.
If you want to set a new encryption key, select [key] 
button and select a file to be used as a key.
To encrypt a file, first press [enc] button and then select the file to be encyphered by
clicking its file name. If successful, .enc file is generated (e.g., xxx.yyy
will generate xxx.yyy.enc).
To decrypt a file (with .enc extension), first press [dec] button and then
select the file by clicking its file name. If successful, .dec file is
generated (e.g., xxx.yyy.enc will yield xxx.yyy.dec. xxx.yyy.dec should be
identical to the original xxx.yyy).
